41ST UGANDA CUP SEMI FINAL DRAWS ON THURSDAY, 23RD APRIL 2015

UGANDA CUP 2014/15 Semi – Final Draws:

Thursday, 23rd April 2015

At FUFA Main Head Quarters, Mengo, Kampala (10:00 a.m)

The Uganda Cup 41st semi final edition will involve four teams; Sports Club Villa, Kampala City Council (KCC), Lweza and BUL football clubs.

The draws shall be held on Thursday, 23rd April 2015 at FUFA House in Mengo, Kampala.

Jinja side, Bul F.C eliminated Bright Stars 1-2 at Matugga in the quarter finals.

Lweza beat Police 1-0 at the Uganda Clays play ground in Kajjansi

KCC F.C ejected Kampala regional team, Kyambogo F.C 1-4 after a one all draw in normal time.

SC Villa needed a late Isaac Muleme penalty in extra time to overcome a resilient SC Victoria University outfit at Nelson Mandela Stadium, Namboole last Sunday.

Muleme converted in the extra time after normal time had ended score-less to condemn his former side out of the knock out cup.

We expect club representatives to keep time as we hold the draws. The hosting venue will also be communicated on the same day

FUFA Competitions Secretary, Ali Mwebe confirms

SC Villa and KCC have both won the Uganda Cup 8 times whilst Lweza and SC Villa have never won the the knock out tournament, the oldest in Uganda.

The first leg of the semi finals will be played on Sunday, 26th April 2015.

The Uganda Cup was first played started in 1971.

Meanwhile, the Uganda Cranes head coach, Milutin Sedrojevic  is expected to address the media at the same press conference on Thursday.

2014 Uganda Cup winners URA FC players celebrate defeating KCCA FC 4-2 on penalties in the finals played at the Mbale Municipal Stadium on Saturday 7th  June 2014.

The game ended 2-2-after normal time before URA won 4-2 on penalties. URA were eliminated at the round of 16 by KCCA F.C
