The FUFA Big league kicked off on Thursday with various fixtures in the two groups-Rwenzori and Elgo.
The Saints playing in the Rwenzori group, registered the biggest victory in all the 8 games played.
They recorded a 0 – 3 away win over new entrants Namasagali Football club, played at Namasagali College.
Alex Kitata put the Saints ahead before further strikes from Jordan Tamale and Tonny Magala secured a bright start for The Saints.
At the Barokoro-Zombo, Bob Ogwang and Victor Aweko scored for Paidah to win 2 – 0 over Ngora Fredda Carr.
At Ndejje University play ground in Luweero, the hosts, Ndejje University FC held Baza Holdings to a goalless draw.
In the Elgon group, Kirinya Jinja S.S is top of the standings after a 0 – 2 away win over Kasese New Villa.
It was a draw for Synergy (1-1) with Masindi based VCC in a match played at Masaka Recreation Stadium.
At the Luzira prisons stadium, Maroons kick started the Big league campaign with a goalless draw against Wandegeya. Brian Akena missed a penalty for the hosts in a game watched by cheering Prison warders.
In Busia, Proline drew 1-1 with Busia United.
