In preparation for the upcoming assignments lined up for the Uganda Cranes (CHAN) and Uganda Hippos (U-20) the two sides were engaged in a practice match at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru in Buikwe on Tuesday evening.

The interesting game although failed to produce any goal, it lived up to the expected billing.

Striker Frank Ssebufu and Abdul Karim Watambala got close to breaking the deadlock for the junior side but goalkeeper Yasin Mugabi was equally ready to tame the opportunities during the opening half.

Defender Benon Tahomera missed with a header at the start of the second half as the Uganda Cranes pushed for that break through goal that never arrived.

Either technical wings called for changes in a bid to test out the players at their disposal in varying formations of play.

Nonetheless, there was no breakthrough for either sides.
