The 4th FUFA Women Elite League final between defending champions Kawempe Muslim and emerging powerhouse Olila Women FC will definitely not only be a tall order to predict, but also as eye catching and epic like any other grand finale.

Olila High School against Gafford Ladies during the semi-finals.

It is the final day of the 2017/18 Uganda Premier League and expectations from each of the 16 clubs in contention are definitely high.

At this material moment in time, one can not easily predict who will win the title and which of the three clubs will be relegated to the FUFA Big league.

Also, the race to finish with respectable places on the final table standings is also on apart from third placed Sports Club Villa Jogoo and fourth on the table, Onduparaka whose final positions will not be affected by the outcomes from match day 30.

Either the reigning champions KCCA FC or Vipers SC will be crowned champions by the close of business on Friday.

Vipers currently lead the table standings with 62 points and only requires a home win against relegation fighting UPDF to be declared champions, their would be third title since the 2010 and 2015 heroics.

KCCA (with 60 points) on the other hand play Police at Mandela National Stadium and will pray that they win and Vipers falters.

The race is equally close and tense at the bottom.

Any of Masavu, Express, UPDF, Proline and Soana could go down.

Soana is best suited of all since they have 31 points and only need a draw with visiting Maroons to avoid being cut off.

Express (28 points) is away to Masavu (26 points). UPDF, on 29 points visits Vipers as Proline, who also have 28 points are at home to Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Football Club.

Sports Club Villa Jogoo (55 points) entertains BUL at the Masaka Recreational Stadium and another Jinja entity is away to Mbarara City at the Kakyeka stadium.

Such is the situation that every game on the final day counts.

We have beaten Villa twice in the League this season but this cup is different from the Championship. The advantage we have is that the games are played on a home and away basis therefore we shall utilize that advantage to eliminate Villa.  The game won’t be easy since we have limited time to recover after the last game of Uganda Premier League we are to play against UPDF FC on Friday 25th May to decide whether we emerge league champions but we shall give in our best.
