With just hours left for Uganda Cranes to fly to Togo for Fifa 2018 World cup qualifiers match, FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo  paid a courtesy visit to players in camp at Sky hotel in Naalya.

While addressing players and the technical team, the president called for focus, team work, and dedication as the only way Uganda could go past our opponent Togo.

This is the same thing I told the Chan Team while going to Sudan and because they believed in themselves they made the work to look easier. I also take this opportunity to thank players who are here but played in CHAN team that you made the work look easier as we beat Sudan to qualify for the final tournament in Rwanda

He told players on how to use their chances well wherever they’re summoned for the National team assignments.

Opportunities always evaporate so try as hard as possible to use each chance you get. Today you are here maybe tomorrow will be somewhere else who knows. But it is upon yourselves to determine where your final destination will be.

He was accompanied by the head of technical Hamid Juma, 3rd Vice President Denis Mbidde and Uganda Cranes Team manager, Patrick Ntege.

The team of 18 players left on Wednesday morning at 4am aboard chartered flight (F-100 Reg 5Y-SIA) and the remaining nine will stay in camp with other coaches to take them through training sessions.

Uganda Cranes talisman Geoffrey Massa is optimistic that the team will beat Togo in the first leg of the 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifier on November 12th.

The Bloemfontein Celtic player feels it’s important to get all the three points so that the second leg in Kampala will be much easier for the Cranes.

Massa moved to Celtics at the start of the current season from Pretoria University.

He wants the Cranes to take the Togolese national side seriously if Uganda is to get anything from the game.

    massa
Massa with the match officials and Comoros captain before the away tie in Comoros. Uganda won away 1-0 and he believes the national team has the impetus to pull off a crucial away result against Togo on Thursday.

We have to play to our optimal best if we want to win the first leg because there are no more minnows in football. People might say it’s just Togo, we are better than them in Fifa’s latest ranking. They might look weak on paper but I can assure you it is nothing like that. We have to be at our best, respect them as we should but put in our very best. I believe we have the team to get a result in Togo. If we get a good result against them it will boost our confidence going into the second leg.
