    The Zebras shall be taking on Burkina Faso later on Saturday.

    Led by the FUFA President, Eng. Moses Magogo, Uganda traveled to Moroni, Comoros via Nairobi on Thursday after a successful 3 day’s residential camp at the FUFA Technical center in Njeru, a synthetic surfaced play ground similar to the host stadium of Mitsamiouli.

    Head coach, Milutin Sredojevic has already indicated there is need to guard against gross exaggeration by the recently released FIFA/Coca cola rankings that pit Uganda high and above the three teams in the group D.

    We respect the opposition, that is why the FIFA Rankings can never decide football results in any match. However, we are determined for the away match we look forward the next round of qualifiers against Burkina Faso in March 2016

    Uganda seeks for yet another great result away from home after being inspired by the 1-0 away victory over African heavy weights, Nigeria in May 2005.

    Young Vipers midfielder, Farouk Miya, one of the five locally based players on the team to Comoros, notched the only goal of the day back then.

    With experienced guards in goal keeper, Dennis Onyango, midfielder Tonny Mawejje, strikers; Geofrey Massa and Brian Umony, Uganda has a starting point ahead of the match.

    Team captain, Geofrey Massa promises a great show in Comoros;

    All the players are ready for the mission – attack and defend in equal measure for the entire match and record maximum points from the game – three points.

    The team in Comoros had a light training session on Thursday before Friday’s mandatory training at the match venue with the FUFA President himself warming up with the players in a unique spirit of teamwork and patriotism.
