    BEACH SOCCER LEAGUE: 60 Goals Rain During Match Day 10

    The Pepsi sponsored Uganda Beach Soccer Association (UBSA) National league resumed on Sunday with its much expected thrills, goals and excitement.

    Over the 7 physically played matches, there were 60 goals recorded.

    15 of these were hat-tricks, 16 braces and the rest (29) individual strikes.

    John Kokas Opejo and Muzafaru Ssenyonjo (Dalumba-Richmonds), Hamimu Ssemakula (Kayunga Town Council), Dougals Muganga (Nkumba Select) and Ambrose Naturinda (YMCA) each notched a hat-trick.

    Dalumba Richmond club humiliated  Mutesa 1 Royal University 8-3, a similar scoreline YMCA recorded over league debutant side, Talented.

    The biggest shock on the day was when runner away Hurriken group leaders, Kayunga Town Council edged Nkumba Select 4-3 in a closely contested encounter that saw Nkumba goal keeper, Kassim Ssenteza ‘sent for an early shower’ following unsporting conduct.

    St Lawrence University were luck to bag 3 points and 3 goals without sweat after International University of East Africa (IUEA) failed to show up.

    FIFA Opens Disciplinary Proceedings Against SC Villa over Okwi Transfer

    The world’s soccer governing body, FIFA has given SC Villa up to 25th February 2015 to provide any documentary evidence regarding the transfer of Emmanuel Arnold Okwi in 2013.

    In a communication dated 4th February 2015 and signed by Jamie Cambreleng Contreras (Deputy Secretary to the FIFA Disciplinary Committee) to the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA), FIFA notes that in its investigations SC Villa did not comply with its obligations under the transfer regulations in accordance with Article 9.2 Paragraph.
    Part of the letter reads;

    We have taken note that on 13th December 2013, the club SC Villa introduced in the Transfer Matching System (hereinafter, TMS) a transfer instruction (TMS instruction 81299), regarding the transfer of the player Emmanuel Arnold Okwi to your affiliated club SC Villa, under the category “Engage out of contract free of payment”, thus initially asserting that no amount was paid in connection with such transfer. Nevertheless, according to the transfer agreement dated 12th December 2013 that was uploaded into TMS and to the preliminary investigation carried out by TMS, it appears that the amount of USD 20,000 was to be effectively paid by the club SC Villa to SC Villa.’

    Should SC Villa fail to submit the statement by the specified deadline, the FIFA Disciplinary committee, will decide on the case using the evidence on this matter.
