    Quarter finals:

    Semi-finals & Finals: Saturday, 28th May 2016

    The Pepsi National Beach Soccer league play-offs  kickoff on Sunday, 8th May 2016 at Lido beach in Entebbe.

    Before the quarter final matches, Kabalagala Rangers play Kampala City All Stars to determine who remains in the top flight league and who is relegated.

    The other two relegated teams are Miami Kops and Uhuru Titans.

    In the opening quarter final matches, Kampala International University play St Lawrence.

    Stormers take on the defending champions, MUBS in the subsequent matches.

    MUBS’ head coach, Charles Ayiekho has promised a spirited display to see his team defend the crown they won last year.

    “We are set to play our hearts out to qualify” Ayiekho vowed.

    Dalumba International play last year’s losing finalists, Nkumba Select before Real Galaticals entertain Talented.

    Last year’s MVP and top scorer, Mathias Kigonya, John Kokas Opejo and captain, Paul Lwere will be the main men to watch out for Dalumba International.

    Nkumba Select will look upon Uganda Sand Cranes vice captain, Douglas Muganga, Faizo Muwawo and striker Roch Somoka.

    The current league top scorer is Allan Kayiwa of Talented with 33 games.

    There is assured entertainment from the Pepsi cheer ladies and video games.

    The semi finals and finals shall be held on Saturday, 28th May 2016.

    Eight games are set to be played when the Pepsi National beach soccer league takes center stage at Lido and Sports beaches on Sunday evening.

    The two groups – Moonson and Hurriken will both house four fixtures apiece as the group games near a tense climax before the play offs com by.

    Reigning champions, MUBS take on the unpredictable Miami Kops.

    Former winners, St Lawrence University will play Buwanika Bulls as Kayunga Town Council battling Kampala City All Stars.

    In the Moonson group, YMCA takes on Uhuru Titans, Dalumba International is against Kampala International University and Kabalagala Rangers take on Real Galaticals.

    Eight teams shall qualify to the play offs and play on a quarter final basis.

    The league is organized by the Uganda Beach Soccer Association (UBSA), a sub-ordinate of FUFA with Crown Beverages Limited under the Pepsi brand the main sponsor.

    The ever exciting and thrilling Pepsi National beach soccer league continues to dominate the news waves across the digital, print and electronic world.

    Fans across the divide merry make, enjoy the fancy dribbles on the sand, the breathe-taking shots at goal and those acrobatic overhead kicks that truely define the game in its true meaning.

    Beach Soccer on the Sandy confines of Lido beach in Entebbe provides the full menu for all.

    When  Real Galacticos overcame the Stormers 6-4 to take full authority of the Monsoon group, there was much that meets the eye.

    Goals from Eddie Kityo, the ever fresh John Revita, Matia Olum, Mutebi Jojo and Saidi Latif ‘s brace helped the Galaticals to a great victory.

    Interestingly, all Stormers’ four goals came off the feet of a one Swaibu Kakwaya.

    Galacticos now top the Monsoon group table with 20 points while Muteesa I Royal University who earlier in the day beat Real Galacticals 1-0 and Uhuru Titans 5-4 in other fixtures are second on the log with identical points.

    ‘We are good for the title. We want to finish the regular season on a sound note as we eagerly await the play-offs’ Galacticals’ Abdul Karim Kibalama Alvaro told www.fufa.co.ug.

    Dalumba International humiliated Kabalagala rangers 5-0 in a completely one sided encounter.

    Mathias Kigonya’s brace was supplemented by four individual goals from John Opejo Kokas, Ssenyonjo Muzafar and Geofrey Ojandu.

    Meanwhile, St. Lawrence University comfortably top the Hurriken group.

    The star sturdded side defeated Kayunga Town Council 10-4.

    Striker Emmanuel Kalyowa scored five goals, with the other goals coming from Sulaiman Achero (hat trick), Swalley Kiggundu and the all time beach soccer proven goal scorer, Phillip Rwezawula.

    Yusuf Mabingo celebrated a rare strike for Kayunga Town Council with Ibrahim Yusuf scoring a hat-trick for Kayunga.

    Kayunga Town Council had won their opening game 4-2 over Talented.

    In a rare show of typical fighting spirit, Kampala City All Stars ensured they win their first ever victory since being promoted in the league with a 5-2 victory against Miami Kops 5-2.

    The Pepsi National beach soccer league resumes on 10th April 2016.

    Uganda Beach Soccer Association (UBSA) is mandated by Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) to win beach soccer in the country.

    Away from the usually hectic work schedules over the week, Beach soccer at Lido in Entebbe should be one of the perfect escape routes for some one to relax come 10th April 2016.

    Beach Soccer: Champions MUBS pip Kayunga Town Council

    Defending Champions of the Pepsi National beach soccer league, Makerere University Business School (MUBS) consolidated their grip at the summit of the Hurikken group with a hard fought 5-4 defeat of Kayunga Town Council.

    Joachim Golooba scored a hat-trick in a 9 goal thriller. Other goals came from Jalili Zimula and Elvis Kasujja.

    This was during one of the eight fixtures played over match day three of the second round at Lido Beach in Entebbe where a total of 44 goals were scored on the day.

    Peter Wasswa notched a brace for Kayunga Town Council with their two other goals coming from Ibrahim Lubwama and Baker Buyala.

    In the other Hurriken group games, Buwanika Bulls shocked last season’s runners up Nkumba Select 3-0, Talented defeated Miami Kops 3-0 and St Lawrence University sealed their play off slot with an emphatic 6-2 win over Kampala City All Stars.

    Moonson Group:

    23 goals were scored in four Moonson group fixtures.

    Nigerian born striker, Isaac Esioke’s double master minded KIU to a 2-1 slim victory over fellow University side, Mutesa I University.

    Deo Ssengendo scored Mutesa I University’s consolation.

    Kabalagala Rangers humiliated the Uhuru Titans 6-2 in a one sided encounter.

    Twaha Seda (2), Jacob Kalule, Hassan Kaggwa and Derrick Kabega were on target for Kabalagala Rangers.

    Uhuru Titans’ two consolational strikes came from Noordin Galiwango and Shafiq Mulangira.

    Stormers pipped YMCA 5-3 in a well contested physical game.

    Swaibu Kakwaya and Lawrence Bakiranze each scored a brace for Stormer but Churchhill Kamba wrapped up their victory.

    YMCA’s goals came from Natubu Festo, Ambrose Naturinda and Ibrahim Mpengere’s own goal.

    In the last Moonson thrilling game of the day. Dalumba International shared the spoils with Real Galaticals in a 2 all fierce derby game.

    The Galaticals fell two goals down to Jonathan Kikoyongo and Ali Hassan’s goals.

    However, they later recovered scoring through John Revita and Jojo Mutebi to force penalties.

    Kikonyongo and Rica Byaruhanga faltered in the shoot outs as Musa Muhammed and Hamis Kaferoo converted to give Galaticals the victory.
