Sessions of theory and practical sessions were held during the course. The participants were evaluated based on their abilities to make presentations and conduct fitness training sessions.

On behalf of FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo,  Watson  who officially closed the course, stressed on the importance of this course.

‘FUFA President sent you greetings but cautioned the  coaches to avoid football politics. If a player is unfit, be open and tell the other technical team members about the problem’ said Watson.

Women representation increases in FUFA Assembly

Increasing women representation was one of the highlights of the 92nd FUFA general assembly that was held last week.

Accordingly a motion to that effect was brought and passed by members.

“In the past it could have been very possible for our assembly to convene without a single lady because previously men were eligible to take up the two slots meant for women representation in the assembly. In the 92 FUFA annual general assembly that was hosted by Buganda region in Luweero district over the weekend we however agreed that going forward these slots are going to strictly be for women.” FUFA communications director, Ahmed Hussein told the media.

In addition we also gave the women one more slot and this one will be a female referee representative taking the number of referees representaives to three from two.

FUFA womn Elite league clubs will also have a representative who is also expected to be a female. This now guarantees atleast 4 women delegates  at the FUFA Assembly.

Under the current set up it was very possible for the assembly not to have any female representative except for a few exceptional cases like that of Agnes Mugena who owns a male football club and therefore contested against men and won.
