The birth of Jesus Christ is drawing closer. Many people have already budgeted for the celebrations that will climax with the Christmas Day on 25th December. However the story can’t be the same for some communities.
The celebratory mood is about merry making and can be achieved in different ways.
On Friday morning, FUFA travelled to Masulita to extend its generous hand to the children at the Uganda Women’s Effort to Save Orphans (UWESO) Orphanage centre.
It was an early Christmas gift to the kids let alone meeting some of the big wigs in Ugandan football.
The FUFA Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities have been taken to Missionaries for the Poor in Kisenyi, Luzira Upper Prison, Arua Children’s Remand Home and St Paul’s Church in Kumi.
The mood at UWESO Centre changed drastically but positively and in a joyous mood from the kids as the visiting FUFA delegation led by FUFA Vice President and Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs Hon Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi arrived to officiate as Chief Guest at the event.
The kids greeted the Minister as they reached out for the moment that saw their hands meet their special Guest.

FUFA has observed that there have been statements made in the media attributed to KCCA FC Manager Mike Mutebi about predetermination of football results in the top flight League.
The matter at hand will be brought before the Statutory competent bodies of FUFA and will be managed to conclusion.
As FUFA, we reiterate our position that sporting results must be determined in line with the FIFA 17 Laws of the Game.
Following various media reports, FUFA would like to make clarification to different stakeholders on the matter as below;
1-Tooro United FC-a Member of FUFA and playing in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League sought permission from FUFA to travel to Vietnam for the BTV Cup.
2-In the various correspondences between FUFA and Tooro United FC, the club was asked to meet certain requirements among them presenting a list of players of those at the club or attached to it under the FUFA data system but currently playing in other clubs. Such players would need clearance from the clubs they are playing for currently. This exercise is ongoing but some players haven’t been cleared yet.
3-Tooro United FC was reminded about meeting all necessary requirements and compliance in line with the FUFA, CAF and FIFA regulations especially in regard to the FIFA International Regulations in force, this includes getting clearance from the Asia Football Federation.

The new kids on the block are Murungi Diana and Ayaro Florence (FIFA Women Referees) while Kawagga Bazirio Keneddy is a FIFA Beach Soccer Referee.
‘The office of the CEO is in receipt of the approved list of FIFA referees for 2019. FUFA would like to congratulate the referees as we continue to promote Integrity, Fitness and Performance (IFP) with a group that plays a key role in the beautiful game of football. The referees are expected to maintain high standards when selected for duty on the domestic and international scene. We are also glad that the number of FIFA referees has increased by one slot from 21 last year to 22 in 2019’ said FUFA Communications Manager Ahmed Hussein
