The game was 3-3 and we won a penalty in the dying minutes. Steven Segujja the Express FC goalkeeper then ran away from the goal until it was dark and the game was abandoned. We refused to replay the game & Sports Minister at that time James Rwanyarare intervened. We later agreed to replay the game and I scored the goal from an assist by the late Hassan Biruma cross. We played Nile FC in the finals and I assisted Davies Kamoga to score the goal. but there was an incident that led Nile FC abandon the match thus we were crowed winners‘ Fred Musisi Kiyingi stated.

Quotes:
FATMA SAMOURA:
‘FIFA has been following Uganda’s progress. You have the support of FIFA President. Earlier today, I met with the Speaker of Parliament and discussed the need for an updated sports law to rhyme with the new FIFA regulations. To the sports state minister, the ball is in your court. We want a law compatible to FIFA Statutes that will address the vices as doping, match fixing and the like. We want our football to be a safe place for the children. Thanks very much for everything you are doing.’
ENG. MOSES MAGOGO
‘I am very delighted to be here today on such an occasion.FIFA has a big dream for Uganda’s football. We shall continue to promote and protect the beautiful game. By strategy, we have opened up a number of relationships with institutions as churches, Kingdoms. I thank Dr Lawrence Mulindwa’ s contribution since 2004 when we started a revolution to improve the image of game back then.’
EDGAR WATSON
‘The extended headquarters is a landmark feat registered at FUFA. Under the leadership of Eng. Moses Magogo, we are overwhelmed. We recruited more staff from three to 60 most of them on a permanent basis and others volunteers. Therefore, there was need and demand for wider space. We approached our neighbours through a one gentleman, Musoke to procure the land through FIFA Forward funding. The construction was in two phases; to procure the land, construction and furnishing. We also embarked on the FUFA headquarters parking project and soon, we shall embark on the e-project. Some of the challenges encountered were the bureaucratic nature of the process, the change of the new design and fluctuations in costs which affected the budgets.’
Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa, Honorary FUFA President:
‘Back in 2004, we started a revolution. Yes, revolution indeed. We used our brains. I am very happy that what was started can see the fruits. Keep it up for the work well done and may God bless you. Put these projects to good use and use them for multiplication’
HAMSON OBUA, STATE SPORTS MINISTER:
One of the sources to local federations is grants from international organizations. I salute FUFA for being able to solicit funds from FIFA and CAF, as well as other sponsors and partners. Let other associations and federations borrow a leaf
