Vipers Junior Team has clinched the 2017/18 FUFA Juniors League championship a Championship which is for players Under 18 years that was started in 2015.
This followed a 0-1 victory in the final over Onduparaka Junior Team at the StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo – Kampala on Tuesday, 19th June 2018.
Sula Mpanga’s lone strike two minutes inside the second half of the well attended game led Vipers SC JT to the victory.
Vipers defended gallantly following offensive threats from Iddi Abdul Wahid, Anthony Kent, Salim Abdallah and Abdul Shakur of Onduparaka Junior team.
Onduparaka’s Silas Draku was sent off in the closing stages of the game for unsporting conduct.

This is the second time that Vipers Junior Team are champions of this league after the 2015/16 triumph. The final was attended by FUFA second Vice President Darius Mugoye, FUFA Executive Committee member Chris Kalibala, FUFA Deputy CEO Humphrey Mandu, Onduparaka Patron Hon. Bernard Atiku, FUFA Delegates, coaches, Airtel Uganda Brand and Strategy Manager Noela Byuma among others.
Vipers Junior Team earned Shs. 5M as prize money and Onduparaka Junior Team was rewarded with Shs 2M.
Vipers’ Moses Bakabulindi was named MVP, KCCA’s Sadat Anaku finished with 26 goals to take the top scorers’ gong, Joram Nsubuga (KCCA) was best goalkeeper and Ronald Ssali was best coach.
Meanwhile, Kirinya-Jinja S.S Junior Team earned the fair play team award.
Meanwhile, Airtel presented a cheque of UGX 55 Millions towards the FUFA Juniors League for the just concluded season. The financial support is part of the deal renewed four deal between Airtel and FUFA last year as the FUFA Juniors League was a beneficiary project undertaken by Airtel.

Vipers CEO Mr. Peter Lwanga appeared before the Commission of Inquiry into Football Officiation this morning and the controversy of their game against BUL in Jinja took centre stage.
BUL’s petition against Vipers for playing without presenting players’ licenses came up and Lwanga admitted having reported to Jinja CPS about their missing licenses just an hour to kickoff. This was contrary to the permissible period of four hours before kickoff.
“The regulations require four hours but we realised we had forgotten our licenses just an hour to the game and we had to report. That’s the plain truth. By the time we got soft copies it was halftime and I couldn’t access the match officials. Pictures of our players were taken. Our players were all eligible,” Lwanga argued.
The Disciplinary Committee chaired by Mr. Deo Mutabazi dismissed the BUL petition.
Commission of Inquiry into Football Officiation during Monday’s session with Vipers SC CEO
When Mutabazi appeared before the commission last week, the said Police report which did not indicate the time of reporting, was presented. However, Lwanga said he simply presented a Police reference number to the officials and was not unaware of any Vipers official picking the Police report from Jinja.
The commission chaired by the vice chairman SSP Muzafaru Zirabamuzale, has summoned Mutabazi to provide more information on this matter.
The Vipers CEO, like other clubs, also complained that his team was a victim of biased officiation– citing matches against BUL and Jinja-Kirinya.

Following action on match Day 6 on Sunday that also brought an end to the group stage fixtures, the FUFA Drum is now headed to the Quarterfinals.

However on Sunday, the inaugural tournament recorded an interrupted match between Teso Province and Bugisu Province in Katakwi as fans walked on to the pitch in the 75th minute with the score still 0-0.
The FUFA Drum Committee and FUFA Competitions Committee will pronounce itself based on reports from the match officials which will be presented to the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel headed by Deo Mutabazi.

Celebrations for Bukedi after scoring one of the goals against Rwenzori in Pallisa
The group stage level of the inaugural FUFA Drum competition had 7 out of 8 matches played to completion while one match in Katakwi between Teso and Bugisu was abandoned when fans entered the pitch with teh score at 0-0 in the 75th minute.
There were smiles and definitely tears at most venues as the Provinces fought for the remaining slots to the knock out stage.
In group A, Busoga qualified as the top placed team with 13 points. Busoga climaxed in clinical fashion winning 4-0 against visiting Sebei at the Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe in Jinja.
Kirinya-Jinja S.S’ Anthony Mayanja, opened the scoring in the 22nd minute. Richard Wandyaka of BUL F.C doubled the scores seven minutes to the half time break. Hamis Tibita scored the other two goals in the 55th and 82nd minutes to complete the rout.
Tibita was named man of the match for his wonderful display, a reward that also comes with Shs. 100,000/ from FUFA.

The match between Teso and Bugisu prematurely aborted in the 75th minute due to crowd trouble in Katakwi.
The organizing committee therefore will make a ruling after studying the match referee’s report. It aborted at 0-0. Uganda Cranes stars Goalkeeper Denis Onyango and Emma Okwi played in attack for Teso.
Buganda edged visiting Acholi 1-0 in group B at the Mukono Bishops play ground.

At the Uganda Technical College in Lira, Lango defeated Kigezi 2-0. Ivan Oree and KCCA FC yungster Allan Okello scored for Lango. Bronson Sserumira Nsubuga of Lango was named Man of the match. Both Lango and Kigezi fialed qualify to the knock out stage.
In group C, Bukedi smiled to a 2-0 home win at the Pallisa Hospital play ground. David Owori and Jackson Komakech were o target for Bukedi.

Bunyoro overcame Kampala 1-0 in Masindi. Jackson Komakech’s 76th minute goal won the game as Kampala suffered their second successive loss of the competition. Goalkkeeper Jamal Kiyimba of Bunyoro was named Man of the Match.
Karamoja and Tooro settled for a goal-less draw in a group D encounter played at the Boma play ground in Moroto.
Karamoja goalkeeper Rajab Kajoba was the best player on the day after making numerous saves including a penalty kick.

In a five goal thriller, Ankole recovered from two goals down to to see off West Nile 3-2 at the Kyamate play ground in Ntungamo district.
Alfred Leku of Express FC and Fred Amaku of K-Jinja SS had scored for West Nile in the 12th and 21st minutes respectively. KCCA FC player Paul Mucureezi grabbed a brace in the 49th and 79th minutes with Lameck Ebong getting the other goal for the home in 10 minutes into the second half.
Mucureezi was named man of the match as he received the award from his father Rev Canon Jonathan Bwanahoro.
‘I dedicate this award to my father. I wish him a happy Fathers’ Day. It was a perfect present for him’ said Mucureezi after the match.

The Quarter-final matches to be played on home and away basis are set for the weekend of 30th June and 1st July 2018.
The final matches of the group stages of the FUFA Drum have all been moved to Sunday 17th June 2018. With the stakes high and the Eid El Fitri Day yet to be confirmed, the organizing committee of the FUFA Drum has decided to effect the changes in schedule of some of the matches due this weekend.
‘We have made the changes in a bid not to interrupt with any public holiday celebrations since we have our Muslim brothers and sisters who are likely to celebrate Eid El Fitri on one of the days that has been designated for matches’ said FUFA Drum Chairman Rogers Byamukama.
The changes will not affect the appointments that had been made for the matches.

It was perfect revenge for UCU Lady Cardinals who were ejected from the competition last year by Olila at this stage.
It is the first time UCU are reaching the final of the competition played on a knock out basis that was started last year.
Norah Alupo got the consolation for the ousted Olila. The match was played at UCU Campus in Mukono on Wednesday afternoon.
She Corporate joins UCU in Finals
She Corporate joined Uganda Christian University Cardinals in the final after eliminating Mutesa I Royal University at Muteesa II Memorial Stadium, Wankulukuku.
Namubiru Noeline scored an early goal in the 5th minute to give the visitors a lead but Habiba Nakayobyo leveled matters towards the end of halftime to bring the hosts back to the game.

Regular time wasn’t enough to separate the two sides thus the winner was decided on kicks from the penalty mark.
She Corporate’s custodian Fatumah Matovu exhibited great skills by stopping two of Mutesa’s kicks taken by Favour Nambatya and Margaret Namirimu.
Matovu converted the last kick to send her team to the maiden final.
Noeline Namiiro, Alice Kalimba, Penina Akuku, Sarah Namulindwa also converted for She Corporate with Florence Imanizabayo missing while Margaret Birabwa, Sharifah Naiga, Elizabeth Nakigozi and Najembe Precious successfully negotiated their kicks for Muteesa I Royal University.
The final will be played in Bushenyi at Kabwohe grounds on 23rd June, 2018.

The Commission of Inquiry into Football Officiation has heard no kind word about match officials apart from M/s Shamilah Nabada.
The majority of Uganda Premier League clubs testified that the new bread of referees were more impartial, singling out Nabada as particularly outstanding.
The 23-year-old Nabadda who switched from a player to a referee in 2014, already dons a FIFA badge. She turned in an impressive performance when she was in charge of the South Africa vs Lesotho match recently.
She acknowledged that the atmosphere at big games may intimidate referees but she sticks to the rules of the game. Nabadda deliberately makes it difficult for people to even consider compromising her by maintaining a no nonsense approach to work.
The Commission headed by Rt.Hon. Dan Kideda counselled Nabada to remain focussed in an environment of people with questionable integrity.
FUFA Referees Manager Samuel Egessa, who made a second appearance, revealed that they were gradually phasing out old referees from the Juniors League as the Referees Development Programme gains ground.
Egessa cited inadequate security, referees turning down matches and integrity of some individuals as some of the challenges affecting officiation.
The commission resumes on Monday, 18th June.

FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo says that democracy dictated during the voting of the 2026 FIFA World Cup hosts.
The exercise was conducted on Wednesday in Russia. FUFA was represented by its President, 1st Vice President Justus Mugisha and CEO Edgar Watson.
During the voting, FUFA President cast the ballot in favour of Morocco who were up against a joint bid that had USA, Canada and Mexico.
The 68th FIFA Congress convened in Moscow and designated the three countries as the hosts of football’s most prestigious tournament, which by then will have 48 teams.
The United Bid received 134 of 200 votes cast while Morocco tallied 65 votes. One single Member Association voted not to choose either of the two bids.
In a short message on his official Facebook and Twitters accounts, the FUFA President posted;
‘We voted for Africa (Morocco) 65 and lost the vote to United Bid 132 (US, Mexico, Canada). Congratulations to the US, Mexico and Canada’

On the eve of the Elections, FUFA President and FUFA CEO led CAF to a glorious moment in the FIFA Congress Delegation Football Tournament in Russia.
The CAF Team was captained by Zambain football legend Kalusha Bwalya. CAF team beat OCeania Football Confederation 5-4 on kicks from the penalty mark after a 1-1 draw.
The winners were presented with medals and a trophy.

Maroons Head Coach Asaph Mwebaze appeared before the Commission of Inquiry into Football Officiation this morning and delivered an insightful submission on both the Azam Uganda Premier League and the Big League.
Mwebaze who was accompanied by his CEO, like other clubs, added his voilce to the outcry about dubious match officiation.
Mwebaze observed that Maroons had got only a single penalty the entire season and drawn 14 matches because biased referees denied his team scoring opportunities.
He pointed out that club chairmen were prime suspects in the vice of compromising match officials. He called for the professionalization of referees in the Premier League so they concentrate on ‘refereeing’ as a full time job.

Mwebaze suggested that referees should not be assigned games in their communities, citing a case where he found a match official marking the field in Lira and later on appeared as a referee for the same game.
He pointed out that referees succumbed to intimidation at grounds where there are “no off-side calls for the home teams’.
Mwebaze observed that a high percentage of penalties, most of which were controversial, were awarded upcountry where matches were not televised, he hailed junior and female referees for being largely impartial and their mistakes were genuine.
Earlier on, outgoing SC Villa CEO Valie Mugwanya and Head Coach Wasswa Bbosa made their submission to the commission. As expected they also decried poor officiation.
Mugwanya suggested that to clean up the game, club Chairmen and the referees leadership should be probed thoroughly.
He queried match officials’ allegiance to the past and present football political leadership.

Mbarara City F.C that has been widely accused of benefiting from dubious officiation appeared before the Commission of Inquiry into Football Officiation this Tuesday morning.
Mr. Fred Mugalu the CEO of Mbarara City, who was accompanied by Head Coach Sam Kawalya denied allegations that most of their home games, especially in the second round of the Azam Uganda Premier League, were characterised by biased officiation.
Without explaining, Mugalu laughed hard when they put it to him that Express F.C was among seven clubs that had named Mbarara City as a beneficiary of biased officiation.
‘ You mean even Express came here and complained about us. Express also complained?,’Mugalu wondered.Mugalu
He also argued that like other clubs, they had also suffered poor officiation by being denied obvious penalties and players getting questionable bookings.
Mugalu continued to admit that an assistant referee who disallowed KCCA’s goal against Mbarara erred.

The commission observed that the fact that five of the seven goals netted by Mbarara top scorer were through penalties, rises eyebrows.
Mugalu vehemently denied that they had influenced biased officiation at Kakyeka Stadium. Kawalya and Mugalu responded to numerous allegations against their club.
Earlier, UPDF F.C CEO Martin Juuko and PRO Edmund Kintu attributed their relegation to poor officiation.
Juuko revealed that UPDF still had pending appeals with the federation.
He noted that UPDF was not in the league to simply to play football but for public relations and would like to see a clean game.
He advised UPL to record videos of all matches and review referees performances.
Tomorrow Wednesday, June 13th, Villa and Maroons CEOs will appear before the commission at IVY’s Hotel.

On Saturday June 9th, famed Ugandan soccer clubs, Vipers SC and KCCA FC faced-off in the Stanbic Uganda Cup Final at Emokori Grounds in Bukedea.
Not only the fans were in Bukedea, but politicians as well were in attendance. Key among them included; Ajuri Constituency Member of Parliament, Hamson Obua who was the Guest of honor on behalf of the Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga.
The others included; Hon. Anita Among, Member of Parliament for Bukedea Municipality, Peter Ogwang, the Member of Parliament for Usuk County and the Lord Mayor of Kampala City, Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago who is also the club Patron. FUFA Executive Committee Members Rogers Byamukama, Hamid Juma, Kalyebala Mukidi, Rasoul Ariga, Issa Magoola, Agnes Mugena and Hajji Abdul Lukooya were in attendance-some as members of the Committees that organsied the final.
Ex internationals too graced the occasion and witnessed as the action unfolded. Hakim Magumba, Simeon Massa, Sadiq Wassa,Alex Isabirye and Paul Mukatabala were some of the former footballers that watched the game.
Uganda Cranes players Emmanuel Okwi and Captain Dennis Onyango watched the game as well.
The Stanbic Uganda Cup final lived the billing of many people that were in Bukedea and those that followed the game on different media platforms.

Bukedea looked glorious in the sunshine on Saturday as Vipers SC and KCCA FC fans, who descended to Emokori Grounds, had a great day out.
The fans inside Emokori Grounds were loud, with better organisation making a difference following positive communication between fans and the clubs.
From the hype, to the end action on pitch coupled with the wild celebrations at the final whistle, the mood at Emokori grounds produced a sense of a final in every sense of the word.
Vocal supporters stood together, while stick flags were all over in Red and Yellow colors being raised by the fans.
KCCA FC captured the Cup by winning the game 0-1 on the strength of a sole goal from Julius Poloto in the 42nd minute.
The win marked KCCAFC’s second consecutive Uganda Cup in two years and cemented the legacy of head Coach Mike Mutebi, as he is now one of the most successful Coaches in the history of the competition.
Match review:
Both teams started with style and vigour. Vipers SC created a few chances when Karisa Milton missed a shot and Tadeo Lwanga close range shot was saved by KCCA FC shotstopper Charles Lukwago.
KCCA FC’s Allan Okello’s cross found a well-positioned Julius Poloto to head it into the back of the net. Taht reminded many fans of schools football of how both Okello and Poloto used to terrorise fellow students on the pitch while at Kibuli SS.
Vipers head Coach Miguel Da Costa threw everything at KCCA FC by bringing on Brian Nkuubi, Striker Steven Mukwala and Pius Wangi, but couldn’t find an equaliser for Vipers SC. However Lukwago was forced to make a superb save 5 minutes to the end of the game.

The Stanbic Uganda Cup is the second most prestigious competition in Uganda football.
It is played on a knock out basis. This annual competition is open for non league sides, registered clubs playing in all the five football divisions of the Federation Of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA).
It was first held in 1971, Coffee FC was the champion beating rivals Simba FC (Army FC) by 2:1 in the Final.
This season 2017/2018 was the 44th edition, it began with regional preliminary rounds where 22 Clubs qualified for the round of 64.
The 22 Clubs from regional level joined the 16 Azam Uganda Premier League clubs and 26 from the FUFA Big League to make up the figure of 64 teams.
Express FC and KCCA FC have won the most trophies with 10 each since 1971. SC Villa follows with 9.
KCCA FC has reached the most final with 17 times.
The magnitude of the event makes it highly entertaining and enjoying because of its massive country reach since the final is rotated across different places of the Country since 2013 on a regional basis.
The winner of the competition represents Uganda in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Allan Okello was named Most Valuable Player (MVP), his counterpart Patrick Kaddu took the top scorer Award with 6 goals whereas goalkeeper Charles Lukwago received the Golden Glove award from legendary goalkeeper Cranes Denis Onyango and Sadik Wassa.
KCCA FC goalkeeper Charles Lukwago was rewarded as best goalkeeper. He was awarded by Uganda Cranes captain Denis Onyango and former Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Sadiq Wassa. ‘Today’s game has been a blessing especially to us as the community upcountry. When the games are centralised in Kampala we don’t feel them or being part of the football community, but when it’s brought down here it’s good and special for us and the game of football.’

Prior to the game, FUFA fulfilled it’s commitment of Corporate Social Responsibility by delivering the clothes donated by football fans and different institutions to Kumi Church of Uganda.
Donations collected during the FUFA CSR activity attached to the Stanbic Uganda cup were delivered on Saturday.
FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo commended each individual, institutions and corporate companies for responding positively and giving generously towards the just concluded FUFA CSR campaign that was attached to the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
The campaign geared at supporting communities through football involved collecting clothes for two months since April that were on Saturday morning handed over to the leadership of St Paul’s Church in Kumi.

As FUFA we have been engaging different individuals, corporate people, celebrities and all Ugandans with the heart to give. We think that football is more than the corner kicks and goals but can change the lives of the people though it may not be direct but can create aspirations of getting better especially to the children who are getting in contact with football and we are very excited with the kind of reception we have received.’

KCCA beat Vipers 0-1 in a well attended final played at the Emokori play ground in Bukedea district on Saturday before a huge crowd.
Uganda Hippos (National U-20) Captain Julius Poloto scored the lone strike on the day in the 42nd minute.
KCCA endured the last 20 minutes of the game with a man less after their star player Sadam Ibrahim Juma was sent off for two bookable offences.

The 2018 FUFA CSR activity closes
At the same function, FUFA Events Manager Leilah Nankya who headed the Corporate Social Responsibility activity attached to the Stanbic Uganda cup this year addressed the media as well.

When Vipers SC take on KCCA FC in Saturday’s Stanbic Uganda Cup final, the contrasting styles of play between the two teams promise an action-packed football battle at Emokori Grounds in Bukedea.
At first glance, it looks like an encounter between brilliant individual talents in KCCA FC’s Allan Okello, Julius Poloto, Shaban Muhamad, Jackson Nunda and Vipers’ Milton Karisa, Moses Waiswa, Daniel Serunkuuma and Halida Lwaliwa
However as a team, Vipers SC have shown that they can play just as shrewd as their opponents KCCA FC, just like they did in the early round of the competition when they notched up narrow wins.
Round of 64
Vipers SC and KCCA FC have played six matches each to reach the final of the 44th edition of the Stanbic Uganda Cup to be hosted in Bukedea.
During the Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 64, KCCA FC had one of the most explosive displays beating Azam Uganda Premier League side Mbarara FC 4-0 in their opening game away at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara on 3rd February 2018.
It was indeed a message to their opponents as the Cup holders sailed through to the round of 32.
At the same stage, Vipers SC overpowered FC Bronken 3-1 in Kasese on 3rd February to qualify for the last 32 round.

KCCA FC was drawn against FUFA Big League Club Simba SC and managed to edge it 1-2 away at Kabanyolo Research Grounds in Gayaza on 17th February to book a place in the round of 16.
In the same vein, Vipers SC defeated Police FC by 3-1 at St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende on Saturday 17th, February.
Round of 16
At this stage teams grew in confidence especially those from the lower divisions up against the so-called giants of Ugandan football.
KCCA FC narrowly survived elimination after a 2-2 draw in regular time with Soana FC.
The game was decided on kicks from the penalty mark. KCCA FC won 3-4 on Wednesday 21st Match at Kavumba recreation Grounds, Wakiso.
On the other side, Vipers SC posted a nervy 0-1 away win over Kira United. The vanquished was considered the home team despite playing at St Mary’s Kitende-home of Vipers SC. Kira requested for change of venue from their famous Kira Grounds to Kitende.

Quarter Finals
Both teams had away fixtures. KCCA FC faced FUFA Big League side Kitara FC at Booma Ground in Hoima on 21st April, while Vipers faced Kansai Plascon FC Naro-Ntawo Ground.
KCCA FC won Kitara 0-1 scored by Striker Muhammad Shaban while Vipers SC eliminated Kansai Plascon FC by the same margin.
Semi-finals (played over two legs)
The Cup holders KCCA FC has a scintillating game winning by a stunning result 10-0 on aggregate. KCCA won 0-1 in Masaka and turned on the style at the StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo with a 9-0 victory in the return leg.
KCCA FC’s Patrick Kaddu scored a combined 4 goals in both matches-a hat-trick at Lugogo to go level with Kitagenyi Henry of Kansai Plasco on 6 goals as leading scorers.
Meanwhile, Vipers SC faced SC Villa at this stage. Only one goal separated the two teams with the men in red emerging victors. Vipers overcame Villa to qualify for their third Uganda Cup final.

Semifinals to be played on 13th and 14th June 2018 Final to be played on 23rd June 2018 in Bushenyi District Holders Olila Women Football Club will face UCU Lady Cardinals in the semifinals of this year’s FUFA Women’s Cup. The semifinal draws held at FUFA House on Thursday pitted Olila against UCU Lady Cardinals in a renewal of acquaintances. The two teams faced off at the same stage in the inaugural edition last year an encounter that Olila Women FC won on kicks from the penalty mark to reach the final. Normal time had ended in a two all draw but Olila won 2-1 in the entertaining shoot out shootout. Additionally, the two teams were in the same group (Elizabeth) in the just concluded FUFA Women Elite League. Olila topped the group and eventually reached the finals but lost 1-0 to Kawempe Muslim. The Soroti based side won the league encounter in Mukono 1-0 while the return leg ended in a goalless draw. Olila defeated Bugiri Town View 4-0 to reach the semifinals while UCU Lady Cardinals also won with a similar score against Western United. In the other semifinal, Muteesa I Royal University will host She Corporates at Mutessa II Stadium, Wankulukuku. To reach this stage, the University side eliminated Uganda Martyrs High School Lubaga while She Corporates ejected League champions Kawempe Muslim. FUFA Deputy CEO, Humphrey Mandu indicated that there is commitment from FUFA to develop women’s football and impressed with the great strides taken. ‘We are proud as FUFA that Women’s Football is taking great strides of development. We recently had a good final in the league where Kawempe Muslim and Olila Women Football Clubs put up a good display. We believe that the FUFA Women’s Cup gives them more competition and in the long run help in the growth of the game’ said Mandu. This year’s final is slated for 23rd June 2018 in Bushenyi District. Olila Women FC won the inaugural edition last year at Madibira grounds in Busia defeating Gafford Ladies in the final.

The 7th edition of the Airtel Rising Stars (ARS) U-17 Youth football programme was officially launched at the Star Times Stadium, Lugogo in Kampala on Wednesday, 7th June 2018.
Like it has been during the previous editions, the launch attracted the top brass officials from the main sponsors of this programme, Airtel Uganda Limited and the key partners, Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA).
The FUFA team was led by second vice president Darius Mugoye, Executive Committee member Rogers Byamukama, Marketing Director, Esther Musoke, FUFA Youth Development officer Bashir Mutyaba.

Launch of the official ARS kit that which will be used throughout the championship
The launch comes barely a week to the long awaited kick off of the inter-districts championships whose top performers will qualify for the regional hurdle.
The regional qualifiers across the eight regions of FUFA (North, East, North East, West, West Nile, Buganda, Kampala, Kitara) will take place in the entire month of July before the grand finals in August 2018.
The Buhinga Stadium in Fort Portal will host the finals of this year’s ARS.

CAF President Ahmad Ahmad has sent a written message of condolence to FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo following the demise of Hajji Abbasi Sendyowa who was laid to rest on Tuesday evening in Mbarara.
The Condolence message addressed to the FUFA President reads;
It is with a heavy heart that I received the shocking news of the death of CAF Commissioner Mr. Abbasi Sendyowa.
He was a legend of football management on the continent who served African football in various capacities’ said part of the Condolence message addressed to FUAF President.
A man of many parts, Mr. Abbasi served in diverse fields both in his native Uganda and on the international front.
On my own behalf, the CAF Executive Committee and the African football family, I convey our heartfelt condolences to the football Federation and the bereaved family for their great loss.
Our hearts are with them during this difficult period.
