    Katikiro about the meeting

Football is a sport. Football is recreation. Football is a job. If any one wins after hard work, they need to know the finer details of the job. FUFA President and his team run football. Buganda has a committee in charge of the game in our kingdom.

In a bid to achieve success in football as a sport, recreational game and as a job it is important to share ideas, advise each other and to find solutions for any challenges for the sport to grow.

Such meetings help to grow football in Uganda and Buganda.

Our relationship with FUFA is healthy. Sekabaka Daudi Chwa was the first President of FUFA. Sekabaka Edward Mutessa loved and played the beautiful game as well.

Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II revived the Bika and Masaza football tournaments. He is an ardent sports lover.

It is very nice that the FUFA Leadership and Buganda Kingdom are on the same page to develop football, regain its lost glory, fame and tap talent.

FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo after the meeting

Today we are very delighted that we managed to have a one on one talk with Buganda Prime Minister Charles Peter Mayiga and discussed more about football development.

We have discussed more on how to develop football both in Buganda and Uganda at large. We talked about The FUFA Drum at length, at first the Kingdom of Buganda had fears that the FUFA Drum will interrupt or kill the Masaza tournament. Among other issues we have also discussed was on how to develop the Masaza Cup and we have agreed to work together to make sure that the Masaza tournament gets to the best levels in football.
