Moroto United, Artland Katale, Kataka and Kira United were all different winners in the FUFA Big League.
On Wednesday, Kira United were 3-1 winners over Sporting United at the Kira Town Council play ground while Moroto United edged Busia Fisheries 4-3 in a game that produced 7 goals.
Mbale based side Kataka defeated Sun City from Kasese to further brighten their chances of surviving relegation. Aziz Mafuko and Amanya the scorers.
Elsewhere, Swaibu Lubega scored for Artland Katale who registered a slim 1-0 result against Kyambogo in Kamuli.
The FUFA Big League will resume on Thursday with 5 matches.
Three clubs shall be promoted to the Azam Uganda Premier League next season from the FUFA Big League.

He is now the Honorary President of FUFA-a title bestowed unto him during the FUFA Assembly in 2013.

Vipers and the Azam Uganda Premier League reigning champions, KCCA registered away victories on Friday.
Striker Geofrey Sserunkuma scored KCCA’s lone strike in the 1-0 victory against The Saints at the Champions stadium.
It was the 12th goal of the season for the current league top scorer, who was also part of Uganda Cranes 23 man team at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
Vipers rallied from a goal down to defeat BUL at the Kakindu Stadium in Jinja.
Villa Oromchan scored the opener for the home side in the 38th minute.
Former Jinja Municipal Council left back, Aggrey Madoi equalized for Vipers through a penalty converted in the 57th minute.
Midfielder Brian Nkuubi then scored a late winner for the visiting club.
The league resumes on Saturday with two games. Proline hosts SC Villa at the Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo and Sadolin Paints will entertain Bright Stars at the Mandel National Stadium, Namboole.
KCCA still leads the 16 team log with 41 points from 18 games played. They are followed by SC Villa in the second place with 37 points from 19 games.
The FUFA Electoral Committee whose names were presented to the General Assembly for approval in Luweero at Nimrod Hotel has undergone an orientation exercise at FUFA House ahead of this year’s elections in August. The preliminary exercise for elections will start in April.
The Committee to be headed by renowned Auditor Sam Bakiika will implement the programme for the entire election process to be designed by the local soccer governing body-FUFA.

Uganda Cranes coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has said that he is happy with the preliminary programme for the National team in preparation for the start of the AFCON 2019 Qualifiers in line with the ‘Cameroon Project 2019’.
Uganda will open its campaign against Cape Verde away in June but Micho says that he has a good plan for the initial stages of the campaign.
Uganda Cranes will play a regional tour match against Eastern region select team on 18th March in Kamuli.

Continental soccer governing body CAF has approved St Mary’s stadium in Kitende. In a communication from CAF Club Licensing Manager in the Competitions Department signed by Ahmed Harraz, part of the letter read;
‘Kindly be informed that CAF has approved the St Mary’s Stadium and you can now select as a venue for your matches’
The clearance comes after CAF inspector Nicholas Musonye was sent to Uganda on Tuesday to come up with a final report which was based on before the CAF Club Licensing Committee came up with the approval.

Teenager Allan Okello scored the first hat-trick of the 2016/17 Azam Uganda Premier League as KCCA football Club defeated Onduparaka 7-0 at the Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Saturday.
A brace from Robert Sentongo and further goals from Paul Musamali and Geoffrey Sserunkuma completed the rout for KCCA F.C.
This was the heaviest defeat Onduparaka suffered since being promoted to the top flight league last season.
In Jinja, at the Kakindu Stadium, Jinja Municipal Council Hippos and Lweza played to a one all draw.
Herbert Odipio scored the opening goal in the 45th minute for the home side before John Kisakye brought the game level.
On Sunday, there is only one game at Nakivubo Stadium in Kampala when 16 time league champions, SC Villa entertains Sadolin Paints, another Jinja based team (Sadolin Paints host their home games at Namboole after switching from Bugembe which is under renovation at the start of second round).
Meanwhile, Vipers Sports Club has requested the league committee that their next league match on the 28th February 2017 against JMC Hippos to be played at Namboole.
The Speaker of the Parliament of Uganda, Rt. Hon. Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga hosted the FIFA President, Gianni Infantino during a breakfast meeting held at Addis Hall, Kampala Serena International Hotel.
The break fast meeting was attended by the Uganda Cranes sponsors and all the FUFA Partners – Airtel Uganda, Nile Breweries Limited, National Insurance Corporation and Eco Bank.
Hon. Kadaga recounted the fond memories she had with the Uganda Cranes in Gabon during the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations tournament and vowed to support Uganda Cranes and FUFA at all times.
“I welcome Mr Gianni Infantino the President of FIFA. It is a big honour to host you here. Our national team, the Uganda Cranes did wonders when they beat Comoros last year to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations. I was so excited when i heard all the three stanzas of the Uganda National Anthem being played in Port Gentil. As the national parliament, we are ready and willing to support the Uganda Cranes and FUFA in all their programmes” Hon. Kadaga stated.
The FIFA President, who was marking the second day of his visit to Uganda appreciated the internal organization of FUFA.
“At FIFA, we are monitoring closely all the activities for the 211 member associations, Uganda inclusive. We are humbled and excited about the work being done by FUFA. They are a model association and please keep it up.”Infantino noted.

From Serena, Infantino met the football delegates, club chairmen and the special interest groups at Hotel Africana in Kampala.
He singled out and praised the respective duties executed to perfection by the delegates and club chairmen towards developing football.
After the Africana meetings, he proceeded to the Phillip Omondi Stadium where he watched the Lweza Oranje Brigade battle KCCA Soccer Academy in the FUFA U-17 league.
He also talked to the Current and Ex-Uganda Cranes internationals, young, active and retired referees and also, applauded their work.
Infantino graced the official ground breaking of the Kadiba Ground in Rubaga, conducted a guided tour around FUFA House, was hosted on 102.1 FUFA f.m before he addressed the media at Ivy’s Hotel in Wakaliga.
The FIFA President Gianni Infantino has on Friday evening arrived in Uganda as he started a two day official visit.
Infantino arrived at Entebbe International Airport at 7:50 p.m aboard a private flight.
He was received at Entebbe by the FUFA President Eng. Moments later, Infantino was led to Entebbe State House where he met the President of the Republic of Uganda, H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
At State House, they were joined by the State Minister of Sports Hon. Charles Bakabulindi, Commissioner of Sports Marex Omara Apitta as they met the head of state.
President Museveni expressed delight upon meeting the world’s football boss.
As the two engaged in a lively discussion, president Museveni hinted of the Government’s commitment to serve sports, football in particular.
He also appreciated the work of the reigning FUFA administration.
“I am happy for the work of the FUFA President and your management. I am also happy for Uganda Cranes having qualified for the Africa cup of Nations tournament. I also managed to watch two Uganda Cranes matches on TV” President Museveni noted.
Eng. Magogo appreciated the historic visit for the FIFA President, the first of any seating world football boss in over 118 years.
”FUFA and Uganda, we are honored for the visit of Gianni Infantino to Uganda. This is a milestone and a huge step forward for Uganda’s football. Like he has expressed, he is ready to share the developmental football ideas and programmes that will not only benefit Uganda and CECAFA as a region but also the entire African continent” Eng. Magogo noted.
Later on Friday night, the FIFA President met with the FUFA Executive Committee at Kampala Serena International Hotel as they discussed issues concerning football development.

On Saturday, there is a breakfast meeting at Serena Hotel where he is set to meet the different stake holders of the game -sponsors and FUFA partners.
He will then move to Hotel Africana for a meeting with Azam Uganda Premier League Chairmen, Ex-Internationals before going to Lugogo where he will watch a FUFA Juniors league match between KCCA Soccer Academy and Lweza Orange Brigade.

Reigning League champions Kawempe Muslim SS Senior team has been drawn to play inform Ajax Queens in the round of 16 of the FUIFA Women’s Cup.
The draw was conducted at FUFA House on Wednesday Morning.
Kawempe yet to taste defeat in the league this season, were handed a bye into this round together with She Corporates, Western United, Ajax Queens, Mutesa I Royal University, Gafford Ladies, UCU Lady Cardinals and Kampala Queens. The mentioned sides play in the FUIFA Women Elite League.
The draw from the preliminary round was based on geographical location and history in the FUFA Women Elite League.

Infatino will jet in on 24th February at 6pm and will be received by government dignitaries together with
FUFA Officials at Entebbe International Airport.
He will head to State House Entebbe to meet HE the President of the Republic Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, Education and Sports minister Hon. Janet Museveni together with government officials .
The day will close with the FIFA President meeting the FUFA Executive Committee at 9pm.
Saturday will kickoff at 7 am with a breakfast meeting with sponsors, partners, opinion leaders, government officials and other invited guests at Serena Hotel, Kampala.
The Deputy CEO of FUFA Mandu is confident the visit of FIFA President will leave an indelible mark on local football.
‘We are laying foundation for the future generation. The discussions between Government officials and FIFA President will help in taking the game of football to another level’ said Mandu.
‘The meeting with HE will drive the game forward for the future generation. We know how much HE loves football and a meeting with FIFA President will give him chance to discuss about football development projects in Uganda’ added Mandu.
The FIFA President will switch to Hotel Africana where he will meet with the delegates of the FUFA Assembly and Special Interest groups at 8 am.
He will also meet Azam Uganda Premier League Club chairpersons together with FUFA members, Ex Internationals and active players plus FIFA retired and active referees.
On that same day Infantino will watch a FUFA Juniors League U-17 match between KCCA SA and Lweza Orange Brigade.
‘He loves football at all levels. We have lined up an activity involving youth football on Saturday. FIFA has supported various football programmes in Uganda’ said Mandu.
He will wind up the day’s programme with a visit the ground breaking ceremony at Kadiba football grounds in Rubaga, head to FUFA House and later hold a press conference at Ivy’s Hotel Wakaliga.

Police Football Club registered the biggest victory so far in the Uganda Cup round of 32 after overcoming The Saints 4-1 at Nakivubo Stadium.
URA defeated BUL 1-0 at the Mehta Stadium in Lugazi. Onduparaka, last year’s runners up gritted their teeth to overcome the home side Mbarara 2-1 at Kakyeeka Stadium in Mbarara.
Ndejje University were 5-4 winners in the post match penalties over Ndejje University in Luweero after a goal-less stalemate in normal time.
Sadolin Paints won 1-0 against Buganda region side Agape at Namboole.
The Uganda Cup round of 32 matches will continue this coming Sunday when Bright Stars host Baza Holdings and Kataka will entertain fellow Rwenzori group side Synergy in Mbale.
Vipers are the defending champions.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino date of arrival brought forward
The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA)-host of the FIFA President Gianni Infantino confirms the change in programme for the arrival of the world football leader.
Infantino will jet in on Friday 24th February at 6pm and fly out the following day.
Initially Infantino’s arrival had been scheduled for 25th February but it has now been brought forward by a day to 24th February.
‘The programme has been changed to suit the stakeholders who will meet the FIFA President on the historic visit to Uganda. It was done in consultation with the team at FIFA in Zurich and all parties involved are comfortable with the new schedule’ said FUFA Communications Manager Ahmed Hussein.
‘The change will not affect the duration of stay for FIFA President in Uganda. He will be here still for the two day period which had been communicated earlier’ added Hussein.
Infantino who was elected as FIFA President 2016 is expected to meet The President of the Republic of Uganda HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, The Minister of Sports and Education, Hon Janet Museveni, FUFA Executive Committee, Members of FUFA, football stakeholders inclusive of the sponsors of FUFA and Uganda Cranes.
Since his election last year, Infantino has embarked on meeting FIFA Member Associations around the globe to share ideas on football development projects.
