    URA F.C 2-0 Police F.C

    SoanaF.C  3-3 Simba F.C

    BUL F.C 1-1 JMC F.C

Nineteen (19) goals have lit up the Azam Uganda Premier League when match day 17 returned with five fixtures on Friday evening.

In the live televised game at Kakindu Stadium in Jinja town, BUL F.C and Jinja Municipal Council have both ended all square.

Mustapha Mugoya gave JMC Hippos a 9th minute lead before Yunus Sibira scored his second goal inside four days with the equalizer, 16 minutes to full time.

This was Sibira’s second goal in two consecutive matches after his consolation at Nelson Mandela National Stadium, Namboole in Bul’s 2-1 loss to Moses Basena’s The Saints F.C on Tuesday.

KCCA F.C ensured they stretch their lead to seven points with an emphatic 4-1 away victory at Namboole against SCVU.

Team captain, Denis Okot Oola led by example with the first goal on 11 minutes.

Derrick Nsibambi doubled the advantage with the second as the first half ended with the 10 time league winners smiling with a two goal lead.

Jackson Nunda and Muzamiru Mutyaba capped the icing on the cake with two second half goals.

Robert Sentongo and Shafik Kagimu were on target for URA F.C over  visiting Police F.C at the Mehta Stadium in Lugazi.

The result was a big relief for URA F.C who had lost 3-1 to KCCA F.C on Tuesday when the second round kicked off.

In a six goal thriller at Kavumba Recreational Stadium, Soana F.C and army Simba played to a 3 all draw.

    Next Game:

Match day 17 continues on Sunday evening when Lweza F.C fresh from that 2-1 victory over Police takes on Bright Stars at Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.

Azam Uganda Premier League: Jinja derby to spice up match day 17

    2015/16 Azam Uganda Premier League:

Match Day 17 Games: Friday, 26th February 2016

BUL F.C Vs Jinja Municipal Council Hippos F.C – Kakindu Stadium (Live on Azam TV – 4:00 P.M)

SCVU Vs KCCA F.C – Nelson Mandela National Stadium, Namboole (4:30 p.m)

    Express F.C Vs Sadolin Paints F.C – Wankulukuku Stadium (4:30 p.m)

    Soana F.C Vs Simba F.C – Kavumba  Recreational Stadium, Wakiso (4:30 p.m)

    URA F.C Vs Police F.C – Mehta Stadium, Lugazi (4:30 p.m)

Among the five Azam Uganda Premier league fixtures lined up for Friday, 26th February 2016 is the highly awaited clash of two clubs (BUL F.C and Jinja Municipal Council Hippos) that share the same training and match day venue, Kakindu stadium in Jinja.

BUL F.C will be the assumed home side since JMC hosted and won the first leg last December.

The goal, coming off Patrick Onyango’s header won the day.

BUL F.C therefore seeks for revenge and it awaits to be seen whether the revenge mission will come to pass.

Ivan Lubaale, who was formerly at BUL is now at JMC and for one reason, or the other he will surely be the center of attraction.

The derby game will be televised live on Azam Television.

Elsewhere, table leaders, KCCA F.C, fresh from the 3-1 victory over URA F.C last Tuesday is away to SCVU at Namboole.

The current league leaders will dearly miss the services of lead forward, Ceasar Okhuti due to injury but in Derrick Nsibambi, Herman Wasswa and Paul Mucureezi, they have a variety of options upfront with well assurance midfielder, Muzamiru Mutyaba will supply his customary defence splitters.

Sadolin Paints F.C, losers at home to Soana on Tuesday are at Wankulukuku ready to play Express.

Ronald Lukungu who skippered Sadolin Paints against Soana is expected to hand over the captaincy to returning Peter Katumba.

Katumba has been nursing a troublesome ankle.

Express F.C will once again test the latest combo between Noah Ssemakula, Paddy Tebusweeke and Tonny Odur against the defence of Moses Kibirige, Lukungu, Nasser Nsubuga and the dread-locked Desmond Kyobe.

Soana F.C entertains army side, Simba at the Kavumba recreational stadium with the hope Simon Okwi and Musa Esenu replicate the goal scoring form in the Uganda Cup and league against Morely Byekwaso’s coached Simba.

The tax collectors’ side, URA F.C is at their Mehta stadium fortress against visiting Police F.C who lost to Lweza at Kavumba 2-1 on Tuesday.

All the eyes will once again but placed unto the league’s top scorer, Robert Sentongo as he toils to cement authority on the net bursters’ rooster.

Match day 17 will be completed on Sunday when Lweza F.C hosts Bright Stars at Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
