Days to the 91st Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) Ordinary general assembly are now numbered as the D-day (26th September 2015) gets closer and closer.
The Ordinary General Assembly shall be held at Soroti Hotel , in the FUFA North Eastern region.
In reference to item agenda number 15, the discussion of proposals submitted by the members and the Executive committee were three;
1 – Uganda Revenue Authority Football Clubproposed that the matter concerning the mandate to run the 1st Division competition (Azam Uganda Premier League) be put on the Agenda for General Assembly discussion and decision.
2- FUFA Executive Committee (24th August 2015) is putting a proposal in line with Article 19 of the FUFA Statures to the General Assembly to Bestow the Title of Honorary President upon Mr Adoko Nekyon for the meritorious service to Football.
Mr Adoko Nekyon was the FUFA President in 1968 and the top tier league in Uganda (Currently Uganda Premier League) was started during his reign.
3 – FUFA Executive Committee (24th August 2015) is putting a proposal in line with Article 19 of the FUFA Statutes to the General Assembly to Bestow the Title of Honorary Member upon. Mr. Bbaale Mugera for the Meritorious Service to football. Mr. Bbale Mugera was the chairman of Express F.C and has served Football with dedication and committed over the years.

Uganda Cranes head coach, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has outlined the plans he has laid out for the national team ahead of the up coming friendly matches, CHAN 2016, AFCON 2017 and FIFA World CUP 2018 qualifiers.
Micho was addressing the media at the press conference held on Wednesday, 9th September 2015 at the FUFA head quarters in Mengo, Kampala.
The press conference comes in the wake of the Cranes return from Comoros where Tonny Mawejje’s 22nd minute goal won the game for the visitors to cement top place of group D ahead of the double header clash with Burkina Faso in March 2016.
I first of all thank Government for the financial support, I thank FUFA, the players, fans and the media for the encouragement. The match against Comoros is now past, we are focusing on the future. We can only use it to reflect as lessons on how to improve on the overall team stand.
Micho stressed the need for proper planning through player man – management, partnership management, department management and team management.
He has also hinted on the need to widen on the pool of players available for selection as a means of having several options for at least 4 players per department.
We plan to have friendly matches on the internationally recognized FIFA days. We look towards sharping the locally based players through the Cranes Na-Mutima campaigns.
Stressing the need for planning, Micho stated ‘The next game is most important’
Uganda turns focus to the CHAN 2016 double header qualification matches against Sudan next month before the 2018 similar arrangement for the World Cup 2018 qualification against Togo.
Uganda shall host Sudan on 17t October 2015 in the first leg of the CHAN 2016 qualifiers.
The return leg will take place away on 24th October 2015.

A new set of guidelines aimed at improving the process of how claims for training compensation and solidarity mechanism is done has been released by the world’s soccer governing body, FIFA.
The more up to-date system will replace the current paper based process.
The new guidelines will create an adequate system to properly manage claims through the Transfer Matching System (TMS) which all Member Associations are familiar with.
The new system will come into effect on 1st October, 2015.
The new procedure will lead to a more effective way of handling claims and is closely related to the existing handling of applications in relation to the protection of minors.
In this new framework, another measure has been taken by FIFA to ensure a more efficient procedure concerning claims related to training compensation and the solidarity mechanism, is the creation of a subcommittee appointed by the Dispute Resolution Chamber (DRC) which is composed of all members of the DRC each of whom is able to pass a decision as a single judge.

Fifteen goals were scored on Tuesday during the match day four fixtures of the Azam Uganda Premier league fixtures.
URA’s 3-1 victory over Soana at the Mehta Stadium in the heart of Lugazi town produced the most goals (4).
Frank Kalanda’s double was supplemented by Peter Lwasa’s winner before Rahimat ‘Mata‘ Kagimu pulled one back for Soana who had coming into this fixture won the previous game 4-0 over Lweza.
At Mutesa II Stadium Wankulukuku, the fixture which was live on Azam T.V, Samson Ceaser Okhuti scored a brace in Express F.C’s condemnation of Lweza to their second consecutive loss of the season.
Mike Sserumaga’s 10th minute opener only acted to be a consolation.
Express football club thus accumulates 8 points in the opening four games of the season to top the 16 team log.

At Kavumba Recreation stadium in Wakiso district, home side Police F.C succumbed to Julius Malingumu’s late headed equalizer to draw with league debutants, The Saints F.C.
Police F.C had scored through Ben Ocen.
The Saints F.C thus earned their first point and goal of the 2015/16 campaign.
Maroons F.C lost their second fixture of the season, after falling to Jackson Kibirige’s late goal when Sadolin Paints won the game 1-0 at the Uganda Prisons, Luzira stadium.
At the Nelson Mandela national stadium, Namboole, 16 time league winners Sports Club Villa secured the first season victory of the current season after a hard fought 2-1 away victory to Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU).
SCVU’s only goal came from Farouk Kawooya but SC Villa won the day through Martin Kizza and Ambrose Kirya’s strikes.
The league returns on Tuesday, 15th September 2015.

Playing away from home has never been an easy task but i thank all the team officials and players for the job well done. We shall keep focused as we wait for the rest of the up-coming AFCON 2017 qualification group matches as well as the other competitions.
All the 18 players who traveled with the team to Comoros returned back home from where they are expected to connect to their respective clubs within and outside the country.
The players got their match winning bonuses as promised.
Uganda is expected to resume the AFCON 2017 qualifiers with that crucial double header to Burkina Faso in March 2016.

Ahead of Tuesday’s Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL), the FUFA referees’ appointment committee has released the full rooster of matches for the 7 matches on the day.
Seven matches will be played since the would be 8th fixture between KCCA F.C and Jinja Municipal Council hippos was postponed because the latter team has three players who traveled with the Uganda Cranes for the AFCON 2017 away fixture to Comoros.
The live game on Television will be the Wankulukuku derby between Lweza football club and Express F.C at the Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku in Kitebi.

Uganda Cranes team captain, Geofrey Massa has saluted three major parties for Saturday’s memorable 1-0 away victory for his troops against Comoros.
The Bloemfontein Celtics forward in the South African premier league told 102.1 FUFA f.m shortly after the match that the entire crop of players, the technical team and the Federation in general played a great deal in helping the team win away from home.

Midfielder, Tonny Mawejje netted the priceless strike on the day in the 22nd minute of play at the Mitasouli stadium, Moroni city to earn Uganda the top seat of group D on 6 points.

Uganda Cranes defeated Comoros 1-0 away in the group D AFCON 2017 qualification encounter on Saturday, 5th September 2015.
Midfielder, Tonny Mawejje scored the only goal of the day in the 22nd minute that the team gallantly defended for the remaining minutes of the game.
In the second half, Dennis Onyango raised to the occasion to save a penalty from the home side.

Joseph Ochaya came in for Farouk Miya before a limping William Luwagga Kizito paved way for Yunus Sentamu with less than 5 minutes of the game to play.
Ntege was later cautioned for a foul on an opponent, minutes after his introduction.
Uganda now leads group D with six points from two games while Botswana edged Burkina Faso 1-0.
The next round of the AFCON 2017 qualifiers will be played in March 2016.

The team in Comoros had a light training session on Thursday before Friday’s mandatory training at the match venue with the FUFA President himself warming up with the players in a unique spirit of teamwork and patriotism.

The match kicks off at 3 p.m (the same local time in Comoros as in Uganda).
FIFA referees from Seychelles will handle the game.
Barra Allister will be the center referee with fellow countrymen, Adelaide Eldrick and Steven Marie the first and second assistant referees respectively.
Another official from Seychelles, Fred Nelson Emile is the reserve referee whilst Ali Rajab Muhsin from another island country of Zanzibar is the match commissioner.

The Uganda Cranes players and technical staff are set for the away tie against Comoros on Saturday.
Uganda Cranes coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has expressed his happiness towards senior players especially goalkeeper Dennis Onyango,team captain Geoffrey Massa and midfielder Maweje Tonny.
On Tonny Mawejje, Micho noted;
I am impressed by the level of dedication shown by Tonny. Though he missed the opening game against Botswana, his level of commitment is so far above the ground as he is paying special attention to the directions and eager to again vie for his position in the national team’.
The players and their skipper Massa have promised to die a little for their mother country well aware of the significance of the fixture.

The Uganda Cranes are on a mission to pick up maximum points against Comoros in the 2017 AFCON Qualifier this Saturday at the Mitsamiouli Stadium. The match kicks off at 3pm and will be broadcast live on 102.1 FUFA fm.

The Ugandan contingent led by FUFA President Eng.Moses Magogo landed in Comoros at 2.30pm after leaving Entebbe International Airport via Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. The journey started today at 10am.
The team had a light training session at 5pmtoday at a nearby stadium with artificial turf which lasted one hour.
Head coach Micho will have his players get the feel of the Mitsamiouli Stadium tomorrow at 3pm on the venue that will host the match on Saturday.

Ahead of the group D qualifier between hosts Comoros and Uganda, the traveling contingent of the Cranes players and officials left the team camp base at the FUFA Technical center in Njeru early morning for Entebbe International Airport.

From Entebbe, the team then left for Comoros with a 2 hour stopover in Nairobi, the Kenyan Capital.
The team then embarked on a 2 and a half hours’ flight to Moroni in Comoros, the host city for the match due this Saturday.
