A five-day FUFA Club Administration and Management course successfully ended on Frinday (1st May 2015) at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

Twenty four participants from Uganda premier league and FUFA Big league clubs were taking part in the course presented by six instructors.

FUFA president Eng. Moses Magogo (FIFA Instructor), Sam Mpiima (Caf Instructor), Edgar Watson (FUFA CEO), Decolas Kizza (FUFA Finance Director), Ahmed Hussein (Fufa Spokesperson) and FUFA Lawyer Alex Luganda  all instructed.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Federation head Eng. Moses Magogo said FUFA is trying to develop its own channels through which professionalism can be realized in our game of football in Uganda.

As FUFA we decided to bring this course at a free cost to all secretaries of Super and Big league clubs but some have come and some have deliberately refused to come. None of you participants were evaluated on their potential to become participants in this course. Being attached to a club was the only passport we wanted.
So I repeat this again, no club in our top tier or Big league setup will be allowed to play in the league with effect from next season 2015/6 if they don’t have qualified Chief Executive Officers.

    He stressed.

FUFA President, Eng. Moses Magogo hands a Uganda Cranes jersery to Hajji Kirunda Mubarak the Jinja Central Division LC III chairperson

Hajji Kirunda Mubarak the Jinja Central Division LC III chairperson who officially closed the course, said administration and management in every aspect of life are very important components to determine the progress of success or the lack thereof.

Sports as an industry is supposed to be run on efficient and effective administration but also with discipline. One cannot expect success if the administration, management and leadership are found wanting.
He added that the problems with sports clubs are not because of the players but because of the leadership that is not functioning well which, therefore, leads the teams in the wrong direction.

Therefore, he urged the participants to prove that this course was not just a waste of time and urged them to execute.
