  • FUFA statement on today’s media reports about Magogo

    The media is awash with reports that FUFA President Engineer Moses Magogo faces arrest at today’s 2015 AFCON qualifier match between Uganda Cranes and Madagascar at Mandela National stadium.

    This creates the wrong impression that the FUFA President has eluded the institution of the IGG or any other lawful agency as reported in some media houses.

    FUFA wishes to clarify as follows;

    • It is true there has been correspondence between the two offices of IGG and the FUFA President.
    • There is absolutely nothing to suggest non-compliance by the FUFA president in whatever form in regard to the letter from the office of the IGG.
    • We wish to assure all Ugandans that the perpetrators of these stories have the intentions to divert FUFA and the Uganda Cranes from the crucial match today.

    Finally, FUFA will give the IGG the same explanations as was the case when other agencies raised similar issues in the past.
