The biggest attraction in this fixture will be on forward Hasifah Nassuna who returns to Mukono for the first time since joining Kampala Queens at the start of the season.

UCU LADY CARDINALS VS KAMPALA QUEENS
Collins Ahumuza – Coach UCU Lady Cardinals
UCU Lady Cardinals coach Collins Ahumuza.
Preparation for the game
We are playing a very important game, playing against the table leaders. We are prepared and hoping to get a good result tomorrow. I am glad that we have had a good start to the season and we hope to keep that going.
Nassuna is a good player and in my view the greatest ever in Uganda, she comes to a game, gets her moments and utilizes them. But we do not go into a game focusing on one player. I believe we have the ability to stop whoever comes to us.
What has helped them to a good start
I think we have played as one unit and all the players have shown full commitment so far. I believe if we keep the same spirit, we will keep garnering points.
Jauharah Nabaggala – Midfielder UCU Lady Cardinals
I believe we are in good shape as players and ready to give everything in tomorrow’s game.
Midfielder Jauharah Nabaggala.
Personally, I am returning from injury and hoping to continue with the same spirit as my teammates.
We are aware of what Kampala Queens pose, they are top of the table and yet to drop a point but that doesn’t burden us.
The players are ready for the game. We have had a rest of two weeks and this has helped us to look at the patch up the grey areas we had in the previous game.
UCU Lady Cardinals are a good team and I know they will compete but we are ready for the challenge and hoping that we can secure maximum points to maintain our grip at the top.
Zaina Namuleme – Kampala Queens Captain
Kampala Queens skipper Zaina Namuleme.
We are set and ready to fight for maximum points against UCU Lady Cardinals. Every game in the League comes with its own challenges and we know they pose a different task to us but we are in the best shape to face them.
UGANDA MARTYRS WFC VS MAKERERE UNIVERSITY – ST. GERALD’S STADIUM, LUBAGA
Edward Kasozi – Uganda Martyrs WFC
Trying to bounce back from the loss against Kampala Queens
The team is in good shape to encounter the challenge ahead of us. Despite the loss in our previous game, we have had enough time to prepare and rectify our mistakes.
Uganda Martyrs Head Coach Edward Kasozi.
Facing stubborn and trick Makerere University
We go into the game with the desire to fight and compete in every game. Makerere University is a good team with experienced players but my team is confident and ready to put up their best performance.
On Latifah Nakasi carrying the scoring burden
Coach Fred Ndawula and Edward Kasozi share a light moment.
She is a talented player and always eager to learn. I believe she has made a good start to the season with four goals to her name. I know she wants to keep scoring and that is what all good strikers do.
Players in candidate classes
We care about the future of the players both in terms of academics and football. We gave them the chance to prepare for their examinations but at the same time training with us. The fact that the game is on Saturday, we will have all the players available.
I am convinced that the Exams will not in any way disrupt their performance and our target is to be able to bounce back.
Fred Ndawula- Head Coach Makerere University
Facing hard fighting Uganda Martyrs
The team is set for the game and the girls are prepared to face Uganda Martyrs WFC. We know they are a good team with young talented players and full support of the students but our target to go out there and do well.
Makerere University coach Fred Ndawula.
On scoring few goals
I do not think so. We have been able to score in three of the four games played so far. Definitely, we need to improve in terms of creating chances and converting them.
The absence of midfielder Josephine Ndagire
When you go into a war, you must have enough soldiers. We miss her services and she will be serving her last game of the suspension but the rest of the players are available and able to fill her void.
Yudaya Nalubega – Makerere University Captain
Makerere University captainYudaya Nalubega.
We play as a unit not as individuals. I believe that team work has helped in the games played so far and we shall continue with the same mentality.
KAWEMPE MUSLIM LADIES FC vs RINES SS WFC
Ayub Khalifa – Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC Head Coach
On the progress of the game since the start of the league
Coach Ayub Khalifa of Kawempe Muslim.
If I am to die tomorrow, I would die a happy man. I have been around this game for over 20 years and I know the journey moved so far. The progress is evident and I want to thank whoever has made a contribution.
On conceding almost in every game
It is a big challenge and we have tried to discuss it internally. The goals we have conceded this season are really avoidable and majority have been goalkeeping errors. We hope to improve this area going forward.
Rines winning at the Valley Ground last season
We want to utilize home advantage and win all the games on our ground. They came and won at our home last season but we hope that does not happen again.
Hadijah Nandago – Midfielder Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC
Hadijja Nandago (L) shaking hands with Rines SS midfielder Eva Naggayi.
We need a win because the recent matches we have only been able to get two points. We hope to bounce back and collect maximum points at home.
Bright Nyanzi – Rines SS WFC Head Coach
Bright Nyanzi(L) and Ayub Khalfia
On rectifying mistakes
We have not had the best start and the results do not look good so far but our focus is on how we bounce back and we hope to do that in the next game.
About the poor start
I think we have had challenges in defence and that is where our emphasis is going into the game against Kawempe Muslim.
Last season, we faced the similar challenge and only got our first win against Kawempe. We hope the same can happen this time.
Eva Naggayi – Rines SS WFC Forward
Eva Naggayi.
We are facing a good team that has experience in the League. We had not had the best of starts but Sunday’s game is going to mark the beginning of a new phase where we can start picking points.

Asked whether there is pressure on She Corporate given they are defending Champions.
“The target is to retain our crown and that definitely comes with pressure because the rest of the nine teams are looking at us but we know how to handle that and our focus is to take a game at a time.” Issa added.
Kampala Queens on the other hand had assistant coach Alimiah Kato who is unfazed by the tag name ‘Money Bags’ given their massive transfer recruitment and indicates the target is to do well in every game.
