The Saints football club journey towards securing a slot in the Uganda Premier League in the 2015/16 season has continued to progress well with a 1 -2 away victory over Jinja Municipal Council at Kakindu Stadium in Jinja.
Second half substitute, Ivan Okot and winger Viane Sekajugo scored for The Saints while striker, Mathias Wambikamba got the home team’s goal.
The result meant JMC lost their unbeaten run and the The Saints F.C are unbeaten after 5 games and top the table in the Rwenzori group with 15 points, followed by Water F.C on 13.
Baza Holdings won 2 – 1 over Hope Doves at Namboole in the other Rwenzori group fixture while Kasese New Villa beat Busia United 2 – 0 in Fort Portal.
The best 3 teams from the two groups are promoted to next season’s UPL.
