Physical Fitness Tests – Saturday & Sunday, 8 & 9th August 2015 – Nelson Mandela Stadium
Ahead of the FIFA physical fitness tests for the FIFA and the national referees, referees as mandated by law have under gone through the medical precautions to ascertain the right state of health for the officials before the physicals.
The medicals have been held at FUFA House on Friday with the physical fitness tests slated for this Saturday and Sunday at the Nelson Mandela national stadium, Namboole.
A total of 124 referees are expected to under go the tests which are meant to check the mental and physical preparedness of the match officials ahead of the upcoming new season.
The nominated referees are the FIFA badge holders, beach soccer referees and the national referees from the 8 FUFA regions (Buganda, Kampala, Eastern, Kitara,Western,West Nile, Northern and North East).
MEDICAL EXAMINATION DETAILS:
It involves the checking of well being of the Muscles, heart, teeth, joints, eyes, body, blood pressure, weight, any impairment on ears, eyes and hands.
The medical exercise was conducted by the FUFA sports medicine Committee members Dr. Opoka James and Dungu Ahmed.
