Kisenyi FC Make History with Frenzy Futsal U17 League Triumph

Kisenyi FC etched their name in the record books with a dominant 8-4 victory over Crown Lubiri to win the inaugural Frenzy Futsal U17 Juniors League title, in a final packed with goals, drama, and unforgettable moments at Old Kampala Arena.

After a tense opening ten minutes, Justus Ssempijja broke the deadlock in style, skipping past his marker and the goalkeeper to give Kisenyi the lead. But Crown responded swiftly through Abdul Shakur Hamud, who blasted in a rocket from distance to bring the score level.

Kisenyi regained control moments later when Muhammad Abdulkadir delivered a sublime assist for Justus to grab his second. However, Crown equalized again before halftime, with Muhammad Mahmood finishing calmly to make it 2-2 at the break.

The second half belonged to Kisenyi. Within two minutes, Justus completed his hat-trick to restore the lead, and “Starboy” Abdi added a fourth shortly after. Though Sharif Muhammad pulled one back for Crown in the 30th minute, Waleed Bashir quickly reinstated the two-goal cushion.

Crown’s woes deepened when Mahmood was sent off for a second bookable offense after a rough challenge on Ibrahim Azabo. Kisenyi made their advantage count—Justus’s deflected effort gave him a fourth and his team a sixth. Although Crown’s Muhammad Hassan netted a quick reply, Abdi tapped in another assist from Justus to make it 7-4.

A sixth team foul from Crown resulted in a penalty, which Waleed converted for Kisenyi’s eighth. The final minutes turned chaotic with three more red cards—Sharif Muhammad and Hamud for Crown, and Waleed for Kisenyi.

It was a showcase of talent, teamwork, and temperament. Kisenyi FC not only claimed the title, but also set the standard for youth futsal in Uganda—marking a historic triumph in the very first edition of the Frenzy Futsal U17 Juniors League.
